  • Cats won't get along.?

I have 3 cats, they have lived together about three years. My tabby and calico are very energetic, they live to play together. My big hit (18 lbs) tries to play with them occasionally but they will only ignore him. I know that they get into quarrels when nobody is home (big boy get scratches on his nose, only the calico has claws). Is there any way that I can get the others to accept big boy?

P.s. before yelling at me for weight and/or declawing- big boy and the tabby were both found outside fixed, declawed, and abandoned. I'm pretty sure the calico was feral when I found her.

How do I make them work again?

  • A few questions on exercise routines?

    Mainly just two questions.

    1. I have heard from some people that after about 6 weeks you should take a week of from exercising. Is this true and why?

2 I know that every 4-6 weeks you should change up your routine. I walk 4 miles a night 5 days a week, three of those days I also do the gym with 30 minutes on the elliptical or the cybex arc and weight training. I do arms one day, abs, back and some thighs the next, and finally legs. On all gym days I also try to do the captains chair and reverse crunches and obliques. I can not change the days that I work out, neither can I change the duration seeing as to how I normally get home at midnight. Other than the weight/intensity that will change over time, how could I change my routine?

Any links to actual medical studies would be greatly appreciated, please don't link me to sites trying to sell me anything or get me to do a certain diet.

    Thank you in advance :)

  • Litter training advice needed.?

I have 5 adorable little kitten running around. About 6 weeks old. I'm having problems litter training them. Momma cat is not doing anything to help and they are making a mess of my carpets. I take them to the box if I catch them going, but the problem is that I can be out for up to 12 hours a day. Other than buying a ton of litter boxes, which I can't really afford right now, what can I do to help? I set up a box in one of their fave spots. I will be adopting them out in a few weeks, but I don't have the time or energy to clean my carpets everyday. Any ideas?

  • Wedding-transgendered- need ideas!!!?

My sister is getting married. Fantastic. I am her MOH, we have another sibling, born a male, living as a female. We don't want anyone to feel exempt, but they have chosen 2 Groomsmen and a Best man nd 2 bridesmaids and a MOH. She is worried about symmetry. She doesn't like the idea of more women, but they are grasping at the idea of another man. What ideas do you have? Has anyone dealt with this before? What did you do?

  • Cat hair detangler-please help!?!?

I have a long hair domestic cat that has a massive amount of knots. They are mainly around his backside and it hurts him too much for me to try to brush them out. Is there any detangler for cats, or anything that would be safe for me to use on him to help get them out?

  • What is this song? Rap/Hip-hop?

Okay, so I keep hearing this song that my friend plays, but he's not around to tell me what it s and it's driving me up a wall.

It has kids singing the chorus and a very prominent piano melody.

I believe they are singing "that's shorty love" but whenever I look it up by that name, it doesn't come up. Anyone know what that song is?

  • Does Atlanta GA have seasons?

I lived in NY until I was 24 and moved to Florida. I can't deal with the constant heat! I want to live near a city and have already ruled a bunch out due to cost or lack of things to do/not knowing much of the city. We were thinking about moving near Atlanta. What is the year round weather like and is there distinct seasons?

  • Kitty AIDS?

Does anybody know of a place in Florida, preferably central Fl near Orlando or Tampa, that will take a cat that has AIDS?

The cat is in fairly good health, we've had him for a month and he came in with some pretty nasty infection/wounds that are just about gone.

I would love to keep him but we have 4 other cats. He is sweet, loving, and deserves a good home.

    Please help.

  • stray cat abcesses?

so we captured a stray cat the other night. The cat has large and small abcesses, one in the pit of his front leg where it meets the body, which is large and has not drained yet. A few on the underside right near, most look small and drained, and one on his paw which was small and drained. We found this cat in this condition. Took him to the emergency vet, who gave me some antibiotics (not sure which one) under the table cause I can't afford much. He gets antibiotics 2x a day and mot gets down his throat (some gets drooled out). This cat is a mess. Although he has been grooming himself, he is stil extremely dirty. What can I do to help this cat out? I want to give him a bath, of course keeping shampoo away from the abcesses. He is also in quarantine from our other kitties. Should I bathe him? How can I help keep the wounds clean? Should I ue bacitracine on the one that have drained? Please help me help him. If he doesn't get better we will have to let him go back out.

  • Kitty vs. carpet?

My cat seems to like to go on 3 places on our carpet. All of these places are basically right outside the bathroom that the litter box is in. I've tried putting him a cage in front of it for about 20 min. and I've been spraying no-go on the area to prevent them going. I clean the spot with oxy-pro for pets then spray the no-go when it is dry. Is there any way to stop this?
