  • finding seed potatoes in Ottawa, Ontario?

    Does anyone know where I can find seed potatoes in Ottawa? I am hoping to grow potatoes this year.

    Seed potatoes are guaranteed virus and pathogen-free. Also, grocery store potatoes are sprayed with a growth inhibitor so they're no good for growing.

    In a related matter, if not an actual seed potato, has anyone tried planting organically grown potatoes? What were your results? Any advice?
