I bought leather that's been tanned and embossed. Im making straps from it and would like to smoothen the edges. Can i use gum trag to smoothen the edges? Anything else i can use? Do? Thanks!

I had the surgery about 5 months ago and I am ready to give up these glasses! I had a double vision and wear prism glasses but I have trained myself to fuse my vision to where I do not have a double vision and can do it without my glasses. I'm thinking I can probably live without my glasses now if I can get contacts.
