I have an 1988 4x4 S-10 2.5, 4 cyl. engine w/ 5 speed manual trans. The problem is either the vacuum lines are hooked up wrong or the shift module is defective. I bought a Chilton Repair manual but it shows absolutely nothing of the vacuum routing for the 4wd or even the shift module. When the vacuum line is hooked up it goes into 4wd and stays and until you remove the vacuum line. Anyone have any ideas?? I just bought this truck yesterday so haven't had much time to check it out, the guy I got the truck from said he replaced the vacuum port or sensor on the transmission.

I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer w/ 4.2 liter engine (4x4 if that matters). OK for starters I am pretty good mechanic just not with these newer vehicles, so please talk to me like someone who knows what they are doing I did work at Ford for almost 10 years , in parts helping the mechanics so I do know what you will be talking about.

OK, so the problem I am having is that when the Trailblazer has warmed up ( not all the time ) it will start missing , spitting , and sometimes it will die. I know that it DOES NOT have a serviceable fuel filter, I have replaced the plugs and cleaned the EGR valve and throttle body and the were nasty . I thought I had the problem fixed after I done all this it was running great , running better than before , then last week after about 6 weeks of no problems it has started again but it has gotten worse it will die almost every time and it does it more often than before. I am about ready to go and get some Sea Foam pull off the brake booster vacuum hose rev it to 3000 rpm and stick the hose in the sea foam and let it clean everything out. Also it does always start back up but their will be one day that it won't. Now unless one of you good GM mechanics have any ideas that I can try or know what the problem is, my pregnant wife is driving the vehicle and I have gone back to school and am about 2 hours away, I am at at my wits end on what this could be, I don't have the money to take it to GM so they can just throw parts at it to see what fixes it.

I have got a 1994 GMC Pickup that has had a TH-400 installed to replace the factory 4L60 E transmission . I did not install this trans , I just got this truck in trade for my old Ford Truck plus some cash. This trans is new and still looks new it was put in a couple of months along with a B&M Truck Mega shifter installed to replace the column shift.

The problem is that I know absolutely nothing about GM vehicles, not the only problem but it doesn't help.

It will not shift out of first gear, the guy I got it from says it will shift at higher RPM but I haven't tried because I didn't want to risk burning up the trans. I have talked to some people and they say it sounds like that a module or a band is to tight and needs some adjustment. What do you think? What could be wrong? Even if I pull it down into 1st and try to shift it manually it still won't shift.

I am a pretty good mechanic so please don't talk to me like I'm some dumb kid please, I just don't know a whole lot about GM transmissions and just need tips and hints on what this may be.

Also the speedometer does not work, is this connection different from the the factory 4L60E ? How can I make this work , what would I need to make it work, can I do this adjustment myself.

My wife has a Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop that we bought new in August 2007, I had to reload the computer at the beginning of this year because of a virus that made everything super slow and it was even able to disable our virus protection, anyway I had to call Dell to get a reload CD because like most newer computers it does not come with one. When I ordered the CD , the rep from Dell told me that my battery had reached its life span and asked if I had any problems with it, I said no , so just to make sure he had me push the test button on the battery and everything checked out fine . But ever since I reloaded the computer , when it runs on battery using the Dell recommended power settings the screen has been very dim, if you have any light on its hard to see the screen . Its also been making this beeping noise ever once in awhile, very high pitch , and the computer has been running hot , almost to hot to keep on you're lap but fan does work.and come on every time it gets hot, but never seems to be cool enough . My question is this the battery or something else. I do know we now need a battery for it because it does hold its charge for more than an hour and a half max.

I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4 LS with 72,000 miles on it and the clear coat is coming off on the the doors. I know that is it has a rust warranty of 100,000 miles or 72 months and I was hoping that the paint had a similar warranty. Any info would be great thanks

I just bought a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LS 4x4 and the master window switch on the drivers side was broken, I bought a new one but was told it needs to be programed to work. When you start up the truck the radio says CAL ERR across the screen which is Calibration Error. Is their a certain combination to program it without going to dealer?

My problem is like most , weak wireless signal for my Playstation 3. My wireless router is upstairs and at the other end of the house and my PS3 is in the basement and I can't get a wire from the router down stairs. I have a cable modem with my router and I have cable in the basement . I have a spare modem and router, I want to know if I can connect that modem down stairs so I can have better signal for my PS3 and my laptop . Moving the modem down stairs would make for a weak for the laptop upstairs , any help would be great.
