I recently downloaded something off skype from a friend. I should have known it was stupid of me to do so since he had just said he changed skype accounts, but I guess I assumed he logged back on this one for some reason.

Then i find out he changed skype IDs because he got a trojan virus from someone in the form of a picture. The same picture I got. I removed the picture immediately but I was worried I got the virus. I did some research and downloaded STOPzilla and Microsoft Security Essentials to get rid of it. I scanned my computer on both of them. Microsoft Security Essentials, which is 100% free, found nothing. STOPzilla found 2 trojans but wants me to pay $30 to remove them. I don't HAVE any money right now to pay and I need this thing OFF my computer immediately. I think it has already hacked into my email once. And now I cannot load certain pages such as Flickr or Deviantart...picture heavy pages. They just load as some of the more basic coding with clickable links and no pictures. Does anyone know of a program that is free or gives some kind of free trial that also removes the viruses under the free trial? I'd be happy to buy one later when I have money but I need this thing off NOW before it hacks my bank accounts or something.

For the past week, my computer had been shutting off on me at random or when I would open graphic intensive programs. I would clean it and then it would be fine for a couple days. Late last night it shut off again, so I left it alone til morning. This morning I powered it on...and it would work, but a few minutes in the keyboard and mouse would power down and render me unable to do anything. I kept rebooting it to see if I could get the keyboard and mouse to stay on...but then it shut off, seemingly for good because now it will not even power on. I just replaced the power supply 3 months ago, but I replaced it again with a new higher watt one today and it still will not power on. The LED light on the motherboard is lit so I knew it was getting power. I left it alone for several hours to go to work...and now the LED light is blinking. Is the motherboard dead?

I am a live in Nanny for 2 children, ages 3 and 5. My living expenses and food are paid for. My responsibilities to the children include cooking, cleaning, basic babysitting, and their pre-school education. I am supposed to just be cleaning up after the kids, but if she spends any amount of time home with them at all, she trashes the house and I am expected to take care of it.

When I accepted the job, the mother said I would be working from 7 am until 1 pm everyday except two days of the week where I would need to work until 5 pm, and I would have the weekend off. So far that has not at all been the case and I have had to work from 7 am until the kids finally fall asleep which is usually about 11 pm, and half the time the mother doesn't even come home. She also very very rarely gives me a day off on the weekend. When she does, it is usually Sunday. Overall, if I am generous and count that she is guaranteed to give me Sunday off, that is 108 hours a week!

The initial job called for free rent and living expenses plus spending money for the services. She hasn't paid me anything. I need the place to live rather badly, and love the kids, and she is a cool person most of the time, so I do not wish to come off as rude in saying I need more than just the living expenses, so I was wondering for that amount of hours and the services I am doing, how much should I ask for?

I bought a Rosewill 802.11 b/g/n RNX-MiniN1 adapter because my current linksies adapter which is a RP-Link is SO sensitive. It is long and protrudes too far out from the computer, so if you even BREATH on it, i disconnect. I got a Rosewill because it was tiny and did not protrude from my computer at all. Well the rosewill isn't even strong enough to pick up the signal from the host, or any host for that matter. I take it because it is so small it doesn't have the power? I'd really like a new adapter that is super strong to hold my signal yet small enough so if anyone looks at it wrong it won't disconnect. I went back to using the linksies just so i could use the net, but it has disconnected 3 times now just from shifting in the usb port.

Yesterday my cat started acting strange. He wouldn't move or react much and started drinking much more water than usual. Today he is barely able to walk, when he does he collapses. He vomits up water, because he has not eaten in two days. He hasn't had a bowel movement in a while either. He barely moves and his eyes are now half closed. He is scaring me to death. I have $30 to my name, the vet exam will cost $30 but then more fees for treatment and examination. I was thinking about giving him a laxative on suspicion he might be constipated, but read somewhere that if he has a complete obstruction that I should never do that. It is clear I cannot afford a vet right now and he needs emergency help, but I don't know what to do!

My boyfriend and I recently broke up. We had been going out for a year and a half, and we broke up because we were ALWAYS together. Both of us are military vets, I was going to school online at home and he was getting disability payments from the war in Iraq, so neither of us left the house much. We ended up just being around each other too much and he needed time away, and I suppose I did too now that I think about it.

However I still love him with all my heart and I have been in an immeasurable amount of pain since it happened. He is the one who I feel is my soul mate. However I know we cannot be together until I stop relying on him for ALL of my happiness, until I learn to make myself happy. I have to follow my dreams, dreams I let remain stagnant because I was with him and he was all I thought I needed. He broke up with me because he saw us both going nowhere together and we couldn't continue on that path, and he was right.

He is with another girl now. I am still living in his house because I am working on finding an apartment. I want to work hard and eventually win him back SO badly, but he seems really into this other girl, started dating her only a week after he and i broke up. I am wondering if I even have a prayer in hell at all of ever winning him back. It hurts so much. I know I HAVE to leave him alone and give him his space, pretend it isn't bothering me so I don't appear clingy and desperate. I haven't the first clue how to do this though, any suggestions?

Say I have a great idea for a retail store, one that would go in say a mall somewhere. I have no money to start one, but I see people in movies and television shows going to banks to get loans for such things. How would I go about starting my own small business selling clothing? Would I need copyright permissions from certain companies to sell their merchandise? For example how does Hot Topic get away with selling little goth versions of Hello Kitty? Did they buy the rights to do that?

My boyfriend just broke up with me. I have been feeling depressed, and even suicidal when I never had before. I have some deep problems running all the way back to my early childhood that I have never gotten to talk to anyone about. Now I feel my recent feelings of sadness and depression may end up killing me and that I will never get better it I cannot find a way to let them go. I loved my boyfriend with my entire soul, and still do, and I cannot turn it off. I cry nearly every minute of every day and I know I need help, but I cannot afford it. I just got a new job that starts tomorrow and havent even gotten a paycheck from it yet, and have no health insurance. I would like a good counselor to talk to one on one, someone to teach me how i can start making myself happy again. How do I do this with no money or insurance?

I am in desperate need of help here. I am fairly computer competent, not a computer genius but competent. I just got a brand new computer with Windows 7 on it. At first it worked fine, but I installed all the games I usually play on it, (ie World of Warcraft, Second Life, etc) and now it blue screens VERY often when I play these games. I thought this might be caused by a virus in one of the fonts i have downloaded or something, so I installed AVG. It found like, one malware, wiped it, and now the computer is clean. Well just this morning I was in the middle of playing Warcraft 3 after just having downloaded and installed it, and my computer bluescreened AGAIN. This time it wont boot. It wont boot in safe mode, debugging, last known good config....NOTHING. Every option I try in the advanced startup options, it blue screens again with the message page_fault_in_nonpaged_area OR memory_management. This is a brand new computer with 4088 MB of ram...so what the heck is the problem...I am at a total loss here and need help!

When I go to a website that has an upload box, with a button that says "Browse" next to it, and i click my mouse into the box, it automatically brings up the browse box for me to chose a file from my computer. How do I stop this from happening so I can copy and paste file locations directly into that box?

With the oil spill, and a layer of oil coating the gulf with more on the way, potentially being even bigger than the exxon valdez spill...what would happen if we suddenly got a hurricane headed for the gulf area? Would it rain oil on everything? Bring it all ashore? clean it up in a natural way but deposit it on land? I am curious.
