I have to analyze a sura and then write an essay about it for my Islam class and I want to analyze one with good imagery. Any recommendations? I'm not Muslim so I really dont know where I should be looking in the Qur'an... thanks for any help!

My ~year old MacBook pro recently stopped getting Internet. I use chrome and apple's mail application, and the wifi network my family uses still shows full bars throughout the house and even on the menu bar on the top of my computer, but whenever I try to load a wbpage in chrome, it says it cannot be found because the DNS lookup failed. All the wifi Internet on everyone else's computers (2 older MacBooks and a dell laptop and my iPhone) still works, it's just my Internet that doesn't work. Any help? I've tried using safari but that's not working either. I've tried restarting the router many times but to no success. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I live in Pasadena, CA and I got a speeding ticket in december. I had my court date in april where I chose to do traffic school. I got the traffic school done a couple weeks after that but I never got around to handing in the completion certificate like it said on the form I was given by the court:

"YOU MUST return to the court indicated above IN PERSON on or before 6-29-12 (tomorrow) and provide the original certificate of completion for the TVS attended. NO EXTENSIONS ALLOWED".

Unfortunately, the informal Juvinile & Traffic court in Pasadena closed about a week ago (6-18-12), and theres a sign on the door where it used to be saying

"submission of documents, proof of completion of comm. service, payment of fines, or issues related to any Faliure to Appear in court shall be mailed to the Los Angeles Superior court (address) you may also submit documents or payments or make inquiries in person at the above address. for any questions please call (number)"

the only problem is, whenever I call that number, I get the busy dial tone. what do I do? should I show up to the LA superior court tomorrow and try to hand it in in person? that's a bit of a trip and I also have work tomorrow. or should I try mailing it into the LA office even thought it says I have to hand it in in person to the Pasadena office, just because it is closed? any help is appreciated!!

I just got a money clip for graduation, and it's really tight. Im folding my money in half (only 8 bills at the moment) and putting it in just fine, but because of all the pressure and friction between the clip and the money, whenever I try to pull only one bill out, they all come out. they dont all fly out, they come out neatly, but this doesnt seem as convenient/efficient as a wallet... am I supposed to put them in or pull them out a special way or will I have to wait a while for the clip to be a little looser or what?

I currently have a Samsung Intensity under Verizon and I've had it for about 2 years now. I'm eligible for a phone upgrade, and I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to a Droid-type smartphone (or any smartphone for that matter) on a monthly family plan which has 4 basic phones on it, mine included, unlimited texts, and i think 700 mins (We never come close to that, we're a texting family) and pay-as-you-use data. If it is possible to get a free or cheap (less than $100) upgrade to a smartphone, would adding say 2GB of data a month be possible without breaking the bank?

TL;DR:

1) If i have a basic phone and am eligible for an upgrade, can I upgrade to a smartphone like a Droid?

2) How much would adding 2GB of data/month cost on a plan that currently has unlimited texting, 700 mins/month, and pay-as-you-use data?

My mom thinks I need to put my name and titles on the college essays I'm submitting through the common app online, but since they're being submitted online, they're just going in through my application along with my name and the selected essay question, so my name will be on there and they dont need a title because they already know what the essay will be about, right?

I finally got around to replacing my slow as hell 5 year old macbook with another newer macbook pro. I have an external hard drive that holds 130GB and according to "get info" on my current hard drive on my macbook, it only has about 80 GB of stuff on it. So when my macbook arrives in the mail in a couple days, could I just copy the contents of my HD onto the external HD and then copy the contents of that onto my new macbook? or does it not work that way? Can anyone explain the proper way to do it?

also, I plan on giving my old macbook to my younger sister, so is there any way I can easily delete all my old files that I dont need so I can make the computer faster/better for her?

My dad got a Microsoft Office 2011 download for free from his work but in order for him to install it he needs OSX 10.5.8 or greater. Right now he's still running OSX 10.4.11 from his ancient macbook which has a broken disc drive. Is there any way to download a newer version of Mac OSX without a disc? he has no problem paying for anything online, he just doesn't want to send his computer in for a few days to replace the disc drive or whatever. thanks.

I'm a 16 y/o incoming junior in HS. This morning around 7:30 I sprained my ankle running down a flight of stairs (it was in practice.) I had to walk a little less than a mile back to my friend's car and then i went summer school. I got home at 1:30 and began RICEing. Ive been doing everything I can to help make it better. I'm using crutches to emphasize the rest. How long should I wait until running on it again? I'm really good on my XC team so they need me and I want to get back as fast as possible. I can kinda walk on it so I think its a type 1 sprain, but a pretty high type 1 at that. Is 5 days enough or should I take a whole week? I REALLY want to get back on my feet as soon as possible. any other advice is appreciated, like foods or things other than RICEing

I'm a 15 y/o male, 135lbs, who is in really good health. i get at least an hour of good, solid, exercise 6 days a week, sometimes 2-2.5 hours (i do cross country and track.) I ran a 5k on sunday morning and i did really well (16:36, PR.) after the race i went home, had a good breakfast, and pretty much slept and watched tv for the rest of the day. I had a normal lunch and dinner. anyways, today i woke up and as i breathed in i felt a pain in what feel like my right lung. I dont feel it when i breath normally or exhale, but when i take a deep breath, i can feel it. i cant really describe the feeling, but its kinda like when you accidentally breath in pool water and you can breath fully for a while. It kinda feels like there is something in there or poking at my lung. the pain is located below my right nipple kinda near the edge of my ribcage. if anyone knows what it is, please tell me. its gotten better since this morning, but i just want to know what it is.

So I tried on the Nike Lunarfly+ the other day and it felt really nice when i ran... it was light and the transition was smooth and it had good support and everything... it felt like a softer pegasus 26+. Ive been reading online reviews on the Lunarfly+ and people are saying that it is a really good shoe overall, except it isn't as responsive as it should be...

What is a responsive running shoe? Like, if a shoe is responsive, does it like grip really well or do turns tightly? Or it it isn't responsive would it slip if you went unto a turn too fast?

Just answer the question. I don't want people suggesting that i don't run in Nikes because they hurt my feet. Ive gone through 2 pairs of pegasus 26+'s and I haven't gotten hurt.

I'm a sophomore in high school and I run track and cross country and I'm running the 2 mile tomorrow. I've run the 2 mile before in my Saucony velocity 3 spikes and I did well, but they were kinda bothering me as I couldn't get a very smooth heel to toe transition, or at least it felt like that, in the last 2.5 laps. I originally bought them for the mile (4:45), knowing they would be a little aggressive. I never planned to run the 2 mile, but I ended up being pretty good at it (10:24). I have Saucony Shay flats from cross country season (I'm in california, so they dont have spikes in the flats) and I was thinking if i should wear these because of the smoother transition or should I stick with the velocity 3s because they have spikes?

I want to make a program for my TI 84+SE where you input the lap times you want for the 1600m and then it tells you what your overall time should be in actual time, like a 71 sec followed by a 73 sec lap followed by a 72 would be 1:11, 2:24, 3:36, etc. I've already got the prompts and other stuff down, but it's displaying a 1.18, 2.4, 3.6, etc. how could i translate this into seconds in an easy to read display. not like

I'm currently a sophomore in HS with a 4.0 gpa and I run a 4:49 mile (It's still the beginning of the season so I can probably get it into the mid-high 30's )and low-mid 16's 3 miles. What's a good academic college with a good distance program in track and/or a good cross country team? I think I want to get into engineering, if that helps. I was thinking maybe Cal Berkley or maybe Oregon.

I'm pretty good at cross country and track for a sophomore in HS (mid-high 16s 3 miles and 4:54 mile) And this is actually my first year of competitive running. I was too lazy to sign up for xc in freshman year and my freshman track year was pretty sucky. I ended up getting really good over the summer. I bought a pair of Saucony Shay flats for XC season and a pair of Saucony Velocity 3s for track. I train in Saucony Guide 2s (gone through 2 pairs already, just got a third) even though I don't really need the support. Basically I love Saucony. They are comfortable, durable, and perform well. I was thinking of running some 5K road races in the off season. Would running in my Shays be good enough, or would investing in a road flat like the Grid Type A3 be worthwhile? Any other suggestions of road flats for a neutral arch, neutral stride runner are appreciated. Thanks!

So this XC season was my first real running experience and I did really well because i trained really hard in summer and became the soph. team co-captain. If you're from southern california or a surrounding area, I ran a 16:58 at Mt. SAC, and I got 3rd in that Div 2 race. The other day I ran a 4:55 mile @ an all-comers meet and I was wondering if breaking 4:40 would be a realistic goal for this season?

I have sim city 2000 for mac. I bittorrented it and only the FUND cheat thing works. My city is pretty average, i guess. It needs a little more industry, which I am working on, but how do I make my city generate its own income? I'm tired of having to use the fund cheat over and over. It's driving me into the -12k range at the end of every year!!

I downloaded Manycam for mac and installed it and when i try to use it on chatroulette, the only video sources that are available before I start are DV camera, iGlasses, Google Camera (twice) and USB Video and there's no ManyCam option. none of them do anything except for the usb video, which is my macbook's camera. How can I get it to work?

I need to convert these .cpi files from this camera (Sony HDR-SR5) to a file compatible with imovie like .mov. Where can I download some software that can do it for free? Thanks in advance.
