My dog had a small litter of 3 puppies yesterday. Since then she has only gotten up once to use the bathroom and she didn't even go very far, just across my room to pee on the carpet. =[ She's responsive, she's drinking plenty of water, and I'm making sure she gets her vitamins by mushing them in her water. Other than that she refuses to eat, she won't walk away from the puppies to use the restroom, and she just looks plain sad. It breaks my heart to see her so worn out, and I know she's just really tired from giving birth...but is a loss of appetite, and the fact that she won't get up, normal for a new puppy mommy?
