  • Why is my car engine gets cooler as I drives?

Especially during cool weather the engine temperature needle goes way down. And, in the winter the engine is actually cool to touch after about 10min of continuous highway driving. At which time the engine needle that indicates engine temperature is at resting position. When the engine become cooler or even cold, I lose the heater in my car because its just blows cool to cold air.

When the car is idle for awhile and in stop and go traffic the temperature needle is at normal range and I have the heater.

I had my car coolant flushed and refill with 50/50 coolant and the problem still persist. The only other area I could think of that would fix this problem is the faulty coolant temperature sensor. Can anyone confirm this? There are no leakage of coolant anywhere and the water pump is fine.

Please help!?! I don't want to have it fix by anyone else because I cannot afford it.
