  • objective vs subjective?

    Does anyone have a good mnemonic to help remember the difference between objective and subjective observations? I'm constantly misusing this words.

  • Frequently cleaning ears, is this an earwax problem?

    I'm using a qtip to clean my ears at least twice a day, perhaps as much as four times. Even the first time this is done, the qtip is only yellow, rarely brown, but the earwax is causing a "leaking" sensing in my ear that really bothers me if I don't clean it.

    I've been using qtips to clean my ears for 30 years, and six months ago my physician told me that the frequent cleaning was not causing problems, as there was no build-up of earwax pushed in from the qtip and no damage. Not worried about qtip use, more bothered by the heavy level of earwax.
