  • help with a paypal dispute ?

Paypal closed a dispute in my favor after the seller failed to respond. As a result when the dispute closed I was given a full refund and never instructed to take further action such as return the item.

Well now two weeks later the seller says he never saw the claim because he didn't check his email and he wants the item back.

The purchase was made through a third party site like ebay for electronics (swappa). Do I have to return the laptop even though the claim was already closed. Shouldn't they take it up with paypal instead.I don't want to pay the shipping and insurance cost to send back the item when the onus of keeping up with sell they made was on them.

  • re: taxes & reselling a laptop?

A while ago I bought a 2017 macbook pro selling for $699 for a total of $715 including the taxes (at the time similar laptops were going for $800+ used). I got a new laptop recently and am looking to sell the laptop but am unsure of what I can charge for the laptop without having to pay taxes for it.

The laptop is still good and has minimum damage that comes with time. Similar laptops are now selling for around the price that I originally bought it so I'm not trying to lose too much money here.

I've seen that if you make a profit you will have to report it so I'm trying to see what I can charge for it and minimize loss. Is the most I can charge the total of 715 or the price without tax which was 699.

  • Student Loans/FAFSA MPN confusion?

    The website states,

"Reference Information: List two persons with different U.S. addresses who do not live with you and who have known you for at least three years. If you are a parent borrower, do not list the student.

-List two persons with different U.S. addresses who have known you for at least three years.

-The first reference should be a parent or legal guardian."

So i'm confused, the first line says list people who do not live with you but the second says that the first reference must be a parent. Can I go ahead and put my father as a reference even though we have the same address?

Does my car meet the Driver's Test Requirements?

I'm planning to use my dad's car for my behind the wheel test in a month. He's worried that because someone hit his car which caused the front right headline to go inside the car a bit if it would meet the conditions required to use the car for the exam or if he's better off getting me a rental.

I provided a photo of the damage below and a closer look at it in the link below for reference.
