    and how closely do you have to follow the diet. its pretty restrictive at 500 calories a day. i could do it if i wasnt hungry, like is supposed to happen when youre taking it. has anyone had luck losing weight with this supplement and diet plan?

  • Have you ever used generic (knock-off) shampoo?

    I bought some shampoo and conditioner from the dollar store that said its supposed to compare to the Nexxus humectress line. They were only $1 each, and i know that the brand name Nexxus products usually run about $10 - $15 dollars per bottle. which is why i never buy them. Personally, i really like both the shampoo and conditioner, and its better than the pantene or loreal brands that i usually buy.

    so do you ever buy the knock-off version of beauty products? can you tell a difference?

  • What is this dish with gravy and toast?

    and its usually served with mashed potatoes? My stepmother called it "sh*t on a shingle" but i really dont think thats what most normal people call it. But it was pretty good. The gravy is usually a cream style, with ground beef or sometimes chicken. theres another version called a "hot beef commercial" (thats what they call it in MN, anyway), but that dish is made with brown gravy.

    Ive been craving this comfort food, but i can't find the recipe because i dont know what its called!

  • Why can't i lose 10 lbs?

    i need to lose about 10 more lbs to get back to my ideal weight of 125. When i started cutting calories the first 5 lbs came off within a week, but now its just maintaining 135, no matter what. I'm averaging about 1200 calories per day, and i get moderate exercise--15 minutes of crunches/cardio/stretching, and 10 minutes of biking walking, plus im pretty active at work, on my feet all day. i feel like the lbs should be coming off faster than it is. i feel like im just stuck and nothing is working. what else should i do? this is about my 3rd week dieting.

    please dont tell me to take acai berry--because i already do take them, plus a lot of other supplements that are supposed to be good for weight loss.

    should i work out again? or should i take a day off? i did some light weight lifting with 2 lb weights to tone my arms, but they are a little sore today. should i do my workout again, or wait until tomorrow?

  • ways to lose tummy fat and bloat...?

    ive gained a few inches around my abdomen, and im not very happy about it. i think it looks awful, and sticks out over my jeans. is there a way to tighten up my stomach so it isn't so flabby and doesnt stick out so much? should i use the colon flush products? i am dieting, by following a restricted-calorie diet. i've been doing 12 minutes of various crunches, but i dont do that every day. its hard because i dont have a lot time in the morning or after work.

  • Have you heard of Calorie Cycling?

    or Zig Zagging? its when you stagger your caloric intake to keep your metabolism up. lets say you eat 1000 calories one day, then 1500 the next and then 1800, then back down to 1000. i think it seems like a reasonable way to lose weight. except that i think i'll keep the low day at around 700 calories a day, and the high days at 1500.

    i'm trying to lose about 15 lbs. i get daily physical exercise from work and walking, but i don't really work out.

  • Did you know that we are programed to EAT?

    as much as possible?? it's in our DNA from when we used to be hunter/gatherers and when food was hard to come by. it was survival instinct to eat as much as possible whenever given a chance to do so. also, we are programed to want to eat foods that are dense in calories, ie: fats and sugars and carbs. these helped us survive too.

    nowadays, when its hard to go anywhere and NOT find food laying all over--the stores, the restaurants every block, and the gas stations you walk into all have tons of food readily available.. of course, these places are taking advantage of human Instinct!! they know we want to eat, so they offer us food to buy. This is the reason we are all overweight. our human nature combined with the availability of foods dense in calories (which we are programed to want)

    does it make sense to you? its so hard to fight against your instinct. what are we supposed to do???

    ive done lots of looking around on the internet. i read a lot of stories, and looked at results. i'm pretty sure i know that the weight loss is due to severe caloric restriction. Still, i'd like to try it just to get some pounds off and jumpstart healthier eating. I gained 20lbs over the past year due to hormones from BC. i've gotten rid of the hormones, and i'm excited to try to get my weight back down to where it used to be, and to start to feel healthier.

    Ideas for helping my Master Cleanse:

    I think i would try taking Hoodia pills to cut the hunger

    I wonder if i can try using some chicken or vegetable flavoring (bouillon) to add to the Salt water wash--i think it would make it more palatable.

    I want to add flaxseed to the lemonade to add some fiber, which also acts as a laxative and i think it would help clean out my colon

    i think i'm only willing to try this for 7 days, instead of the 10 that most people do.

    also, one more question: if i have to work in the morning, how can i get around the effects of the saltwater/laxative? i can't run to the bathroom every few minutes when i'm at work. this is possibly the only thing keeping me from wanting to attempt it.
