So, if humans had the capability of going back to an ancient Mesopotamia (just an example since it is the cradle of civilization) and we took a new born child fresh out of the womb, would it be able to learn at the same rate as a newborn baby of today's society in 2000CE? (i.e. learn to speak, read write, creativity, adapt to surroundings etc.) In other words how much has the human brain evolved over the past 12,000 years? Or have humans trumped evolution as well as natural selection?

Im 16, been riding a mountain bike for a few years, done some sprint and olympic distance triathalons and I want to start getting more serious in biking. I know for sure I want a road bike, but Im just not sure what to look for, my price range is less that 800 or 900. Thanks!!!
