  • I need some fun, hilarious, entertaining, NEW drinking games for New Year's.?

I know the normal: beer pong, quarters, 3 man, caps, golf, up the river-down the river games, but I want something that is different, yet completely entertaining. We have been getting together for New Year's for the past 10 years, and it's the same 'ol, same 'ol. Please...something new and fun! Any ideas?

  • 13 month old not sleeping well....any suggestions as to why?

I know most of you will suggest teething, but I really don't think that's the case here. My daughter has ALWAYS taken good naps (2-3 hours) up until she started teething at 8 months. Then her naps went to about 1-2 hours. This is why I don't think what's going on is due to teething. She now naps maybe 25-30 minutes and is still REALLY tired afterwards, but won't go back to sleep on her own or by me rocking her. At night, it's almost like clockwork for her. She lays down and falls to sleep after about 5-10 minutes of singing to herself, but then an hour later...she's screaming and wakes up. Her daddy or I go rock her back and she's fine, but then she'll do it again about another hour later. She use to sleep until about 7:30-8:00...and now's it 5:00-6:00 a.m. I can usually get her back to sleep if I break down and give her a bottle, but she doesn't take bottles anymore during the day, so I hate to continue breaking down and give her one just to get more sleep for myself. (well, and her sake)

    HELP!!!

  • 11 month old with 6 teeth is starting to bite me, but not out of anger...what do you recommend?

My daughter hasn't taken a pacifier since she was 4 months old, instead she has taken to a taggie blanket. In fact, it's almost like her pacifier. She puts the tags in her mouth and chews on them...this is where I think her biting has started. She has recently started biting me, but she's not in an angry mood or tantrum. In fact, she's super happy, and it's as if it's her way of affection. I've started reacting "loudly" to get her attention when she does it by saying "OUCH" and sitting her away from me telling her I'm not playing with her right now. After about a minute I make her come over and give me a hug. Is that stupid? I don't know what else to do, and I know at 11 months she doesn't understand discipline yet. Any suggestions?

  • What do I do for my 10 1/2 month old who has unexplained random vomiting?

For the past month, my daughter has been vomiting about every other day, 2-3 times a day. Usually it "seems" to be when she's eating, and usually instantly after she takes the 1st bite. So, I kept telling myself she has a bad "gag" reflex. There was a week she was sick with a fever and woudl throw up everytime her fever spiked, but I'm pretty much ruling that week out because she had a fever then. Every other time she throws up now, she doesn't have any other symptoms. The other night, she wasn't even eating, in fact she was sleeping in my arms. It was about an hour after she fell asleep, she starting throwing up. No coughing, gagging, nothing!! So, the whole gag reflex sort of went out the window with that one. What could it be? She's on SOY and has been since 3 months old.

    Additional Details

My daughter was 6 weeks premature, so her weight for her actual age is low, but her adjusted age, it's about average. She's 18 pounds right now, and has always continued to gain like she should according to her well-baby check ups. I've done a LOT of reading to try and figure it out for myself, and I've read that if she's gaining weight normally, then it's not too much to worry about. That's why I've held off on taking her back to the doctor. I just can't figure out what it is on my own, and I'm about to go insane with getting vomited on every other day...literally...right on me 90% of the time!

She DOESN'T have a fever, not with the random throwing up. That's what I can't figure this out.

  • My 8 1/2 month old daughter has started crying unless someone holds her or constantly plays with her. HELP!!?

My biggest concern is when she's at daycare. My daughter use to lay down for naps with no problem at all. She either falls asleep in your arms or while drinking her bottle. You could lay her down and she'd be out for 2-3 hours. NOW if you lay her down, BOOM, up pops her head, and she's wide awake screaming. I usually have to go through the process 2-3 more times before she'll stay napping. Also, she now only naps for 10-30 minutes at a time, so I don't think she's getting enough sleep. It's really effecting daycare, because they can't hold her all the time and she's screaming so loudly that it keeps the others awake. What can I do??

OH...I wouldn't consider her spoiled because I've always allowed for alone play time for her to learn the right skills as well as I've tried the "cry it out" method, but she screams bloody murder until she basically can't breath anymore, so I have to pick her up. I need HELP...and I mean REAL suggestions please! If you feel like putting me down for any reason, you're wasting your time. Thanks for any "REAL" info.

  • Is there a Pacifier that is shaped like the plain latex nipples?

My 7 1/2 month old daughter use to take pacifiers, but wants nothing to do with them now. She recently started waking up at 2:30 am every night, wanting something to sooth her. She's not happy until she gets her bottle. She really doesn't "want" the bottle, she wants the sucking reflex. I know this because she takes less than an ounce and is back to sleep. I use plain shaped latex nipples for her bottle, so I wondered if someone made a pacifier shaped like that nipple. Though maybe this might be the solution to her sucking reflex.

  • Booking a flight online and taking a 9 month old?

I want to book a flight to California, but when it ask me how many passengers, I don't know if I should put 1 or 2. Here's what I think, and wonder if anyone could tell me what they did in my situation.

I think I probably need to just put 1 passenger, and take her on my lap. IF there is an open seat on the plane, then maybe they'll let me take her car seat on so she can sit in it. ??? But, if I just put 1 passenger, and then arrive at the gate, what do I say when it's actually 2? Anyone ever book online when flying alone with an infant? What do I need to take along with me for her identification?

    Thanks for any info!

  • Does Vera Bradley make a key fob grocery card holder? I saw someone with what "looked" like Vera Bradley?

If they do, what is the name of it so I can look it up?? Or, do you know of any other cool little holders for all those unruly grocery cards that hang from our keychains?

  • Do you, or know of any one who interchanges formulas?

I usually give my baby Similac Soy Advance formula, but I found an AWESOME deal on the Enfamil brand of Soy formula. Can you interchange them without any problems? Are they considered the same thing? I've heard you could from my sister-in-law, but I would just like to hear from someone else.

  • Is it normal for my daughter to sleep this much?

Okay, here's the details: I'm a first time mommy, and I have a premature daughter, 6 weeks early. She's actually 16 weeks old, but 10 weeks old adjusted age. She spend 32 days in the nicu before we could bring her home. I understand that at first she should sleep a lot because most newborns do. She's now considered 2 1/2 months old adjusted age, so shouldn't she be staying awake more? She goes to bed around 8:30-9:00 at night after a 4 oz bottle, wakes up at 4:30 for a small bottle 2-3 ozs. Then she gets up again at 7:00 for a little bit of play time, then another small bottle of 2-3 ozs. She immediately wants to go back to sleep after her bottle, and doesn't wake up until around 12:00. If we wake her sooner, she doesn't eat, so we have decided to feed her on demand. So, she eats around 12, which is anywhere from 4-6 ozs, then she's awake for about a 1/2 hour afterwards and is ready to go back to sleep. Wakes up around 4:30-5 for her next bottle, then usually about 1/2 hour of playtime. Usually 3-4 ounces, then back to sleep. She wakes up around 7 for another 1/2 hour of playtime, then a bath, massage and bottle. So she's up for amost and hour and a half, and then it's bedtime and time to start all over. So...estimated awake time throughout the day, including bottle feeding time is about 3 1/2 hours. Sorry this schedule detail was so long, but I really need to know if this is normal, and I figured I'd have to let you know her schedule to give you the full picture. Should she be sleeping this much still??

  • I'm 32 weeks pregnant, and may have to deliver very soon. I need advice!!?

What are the odds and percentages of something being wrong with my baby being delivered this soon? I have preeclamsia, with my left artery already constricted since 25 weeks, my hands, feet, legs, and face are all swelling up, and my blood pressure has been staying way too high (175/110's) even with medicine, so I'm worried when I go tomorrow, they will want to deliver her to not take any chances with my health. Anyone out there deliver at 32 weeks? If so, what percentages did the doctor give you to how things will go for a preterm baby at 8 weeks early?

  • What can you use to make super glue dry faster?

When you add super glue to an object, (other than your hands), it takes about 10 minutes to dry completely. Is there anything you can put on it to make it dry superfast?

  • Taking Bisoprolol/HCTZ while pregnant?

I'm 27 and have had hypertension since the 8th grade: no real reason such as family history, overweight, etc, doctors say it's just the way I am.

So, I have to take Bisoprolol/HCTZ to keep it controlled. I just got off the phone with the nurse to the OBGYN I'll be seeing, and she told me the doctor wants me to stop taking it. Has anyone has the same experience? If so, what's wrong with that medicine versus the one she's putting me on: labatalol? Oh yeah...I'm 6 weeks pregnant is why I want to know. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

  • Your experience with Dollar Tree Pregnancy Tests?

TTC, but I've gotten tired of buying the expensive test to use, so I bought a few from the Dollar Tree. Now, I've used the Dollar Tree tests before, and have never seen a line in the testing area to show positive. The past two mornings I've tested and got a faint line both times. I do have an expensive store bought test to use, but I want to wait to make sure I'm pregnant because I want to use it to suprise my husband. (It's the kind that says "pregnant" or "not pregnant".) So my question is:

Have you ever used the Dollar Tree test? If so, have you had the same experience as me with having a faint line? Did you end up definitely pregnant? Are they not reliable since they are cheap? How long do you think I should wait to use the good EPT? Thanks for your thoughts!!

  • TTY, yet confused on what I know about my cycyle?

Probably too much information, but just want to be clear:

I have always been able to tell when I'm going to start my period because it ALWAYS wakes me up in the morning right before it starts. That way I know to go to the bathroom. I was suppose to start today, (hoping that I wouldn't because we're ttc), but this morning I had my usual wake up letting me know I was starting. Disappointed, I went to the bathroom...knowing I had started because of the feeling, and there was nothing there. It's around noon, and I still haven't started. Do I have the possiblity, or am I getting my hopes up?
