  • Why are so many people obsessed on downloading free software?

    I never understand the desire of people to steal things. Free music, free movies, free software, free games. Limewire, Emule, Bit Torrent, Kazaa, the original Napster. Why do so many people feel it is their right to steal the work of others?

    Why does stealing music on-line seem ok, but stealing a CD or DVD from a store still seem bad?

    Are we all to cheap to buy something, or are we all just closet thieves, and the internet lets some of us do it in a more safe manner?

    OK, here is a fun one, to see how many old-school geeks we have in here.

    Does anybody else remember the DEBUG command to do a low level format on an MFM/RLL hard drive? Everybody thinks I am nuts because even after all these years I still remember it. Is there anybody else out here that can do that?
