My son is 10 months old now but I'm going on a week long trip when he's 11 months and I need him to take either a bottle or sippy. We've been working on the sippy with him and he's not in to it. His Daddy sits with him in a quiet room and tries to give it to him for a while and then afterwards I nurse. Do you think we should try a bottle? Anyone been in a similar situation? Should we just be persistent?

My 8 month old used to take a 2 hour nap in the AM and 2.5 hour nap in the PM. Just the past two days he only sleeps an hour in the AM and 2 in PM. He is grouchy and has lines under his eyes. He doesn't have a temp and doesn't appear to be in pain from teething or anything. Any suggestions to help him to sleep longer?

My little boy has always been an excellent sleeper. He has been sleeping 12 hrs. at night plus 3 naps a day at about 2 hrs. each.

Now this past week he's been sick (stuffy nose, no temp) and is sleeping horribly! He will talk to himself or fuss for an hour before falling asleep for a half hour and wake up crabby. He still sleeps fine at night though.

I suction his nose and have a humidifier in his room. Do you all have any other suggestions for how to help him nap? Has anyone ever had a similar problem who might be able to give me some encouragement?

When can I give my baby bread and yogurt? He's almost 7 months and I'm just wondering. Do I have to wait until closer to a year on those?
