I am an American, Malayalee Hindu who is science-minded. This should bring enough different views to the table, I would think. :) http://spiritualexploration.blogspot.com is my newly-created blog through which I discuss my own spiritual experiences, thoughts, and perhaps not-so-spiritual things that can be linked back to the spiritual search. Most of it is my opinion, coupled with some research and articles that help prove some points along the way. The goal (I hope) is to maybe help others gain some insight through my own successes, pitfalls, and even musings as I go through them.
Sending pics over Blackberry without unlimited data plan (email, Twitpic, etc.)?
How does this work? What counts as "data usage?" Verizon seems incredibly vague about what constitutes data usage, or excessive data usage. Maybe I missed something.
Any help would be much appreciated.
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoTeeth feeling loose following wisdom teeth eruption?
I would go through the trouble of asking the question, but it looks like it was already asked here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200903...
So to recap: front teeth feeling slightly loose, though not evidently loose, and they seem to be shifting around (my bite changes from day to day with no real rhyme or reason).
However, the answer didn't seem wholly adequate, and I'm curious if there are any other opinions out there. I had orthodontic work so I'd love to preserve what I have. :)
Thanks!
1 AnswerDental1 decade agoGenetic notation question?
I'm reading a scientific paper and I'm not too familiar with the whole range of genetic shorthand that exists.
What does it mean if a mouse strain is designated "gene (+/-)"
1 AnswerBiology1 decade agoWhich viruses can affect a computer monitor display?
Are there viruses that can affect a monitor? My computer works fine...except the monitor has been going dead the last few days after the computer has been on for a certain amount of time. I'm thinking it's a virus...but I can't be sure.

Kinda left the leftovers in the oven and forgot about it...any help would be appreciated. :)
5 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWhere can I buy plain spearmint tea in/around New York City?
Are there any stores in that area that sell plain (ideally loose leaf) spearmint tea? I've had no luck finding any place. Any help would be appreciated!
1 AnswerNon-Alcoholic Drinks1 decade agoShift+A is being understood as "Enter" by my computer?
This has been going on for a while and I'm not sure how to change it. It's extremely frustrating, because some forms need words with a capital A, and instead of putting it in, it takes me to an Error page saying I didn't fill everything out.
Any help would be appreciated!
2 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoCompact foundation application (Sephora matifying compact foundation)
What's the best way to apply this foundation, or a similar foundation? I'm not too familiar with foundation. I have a foundation brush and I also have Bare Minerals foundation, though the shade's just a hair darker than I would have liked.
Here's how Sephora describes it's compact foundation: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P19...
Thanks for your help!

2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoSimple substitute for chicken bouillon?
The recipe I want to try requires chicken bouillon. I don't eat chicken and I don't have many vegetables on hand to make a vegetable stock.
Ideas?
14 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoHopelessly burned-on remnants?
So I cooked a meal last week, and some of it burned and stuck to the bottom of my pot (which is not a nonstick pot). After soaking for what feels like years, and scrubbing vigorously, it is still stubbornly stuck on. I've used sponges, Brillo pads, combined with dish soap and it doesn't work. I haven't tried the dishwasher b/c I'm not entirely sure it will do any good for this level of stubborn, burned on food.
Any ideas to get those last burned patches off?
9 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoIf you have half an onion left after cooking the other half?
How would you save it such that it loses the least of its flavor/shape? Is it even possible?
Can you wrap it up in something and refrigerate it?
Clearly, I am an amateur cook. Thanks for all your help!
9 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoThe end of my hair feels like it's been fried/left out to dry?
Right now I'm blaming the humidity, is that valid? Should I be doing anything different, in terms of my hair care? How do I get rid of the dry ends (aside from cutting it, which I'm trying to avoid).
Thanks for your help!

As I was watching the show "Heroes" I thought I heard Sanskrit slokas in the background in some episodes. Are they Sanskrit? If so, which ones and what are their meanings?

2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat do I do with silken tofu?
So I made the mistake of picking up silken tofu instead of firm tofu or firm bean curd (not sure if they're different, but they were labeled differently). From what I've read so far, it's only used in custards and such but the intent was to use it in stir fry or something of the sort.
Can silken tofu still be used? If so, how?
8 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoTwin tornadoes in a dream?
Is there any particular meaning to there being twin tornadoes, or even one tornado? I just remember it destroying the building in which I was standing, and being swept up into the tornado. It was a weird feeling of both fear and asphyxiation, as well as release and a hint of rapture. It set me down safely (enough that I "woke up" to survey the damage).
Any thoughts?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoTranslate this video?
I found this video and I love the song, it's so hauntingly beautiful. I'm fairly sure it's Arabic, but I don't know Arabic and I can't read the subtitles (I'm going to assume it's Turkish, though I could be wrong).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijwwn9qv0...
Can someone translate it for me? Also, who is singing?
