1 AnswerPolitics1 month agoWhy do some family members dislike the simple fact that I'm opposed to selling this family vacation home?
It's been owned by my grandparents for 25+ years and the sight of many fond memories. However over the last year, due to Covid, no one has visited it at all and I think some of the family is now seeing it as somewhat of a burden. My grandparents both have a hard time going up the stairs, so many of us told them they should sell their main house and downsize. But they're too attached to their main house and had stairlifts installed to make it easier for them. My dad then said it was more likely they would sell the vacation home, and I told him I was against that because of all the family memories there, and I think it still has a future with the younger family generations. I have just as many memories at my grandparents' main house, but I'm not nearly as attached to it as I am this one. Then later on, my dad said he may be going up there to meet with a realtor, and I said to him and my stepmom, "you know I'm not for that." And they gave me heck about it simply for voicing that opinion. They told me I was being "too controlling." I call BS - I was just saying I didn't support something that was a possibility. Thankfully, my dad, uncles, and grandparents have all since decided against selling the house.
7 AnswersFamily1 month agoMy sister said "modern-day Romeo and Juliet" when I was telling her about my new girlfriend. What is that supposed to mean?
I was telling her about my gf and she was being more critical than happy for me (what else can you expect from a younger sister), and that my gf and I have already both said how much we love each other and that we're the best thing that's ever happened to one another. And my sister just laughed and said "what is this, modern-day Romeo and Juliet?" in a somewhat disapproving tone.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 month agoDoes some people's fear/dislike of cats have to do with their family resemblance to the big cats?
I think that's a theory since lions, tigers, and panthers are some of the most feared predators in the world. And there definitely is a resemblance in the family between them and small cats, like our cute and cuddly feline friends.

4 AnswersSingles & Dating2 months agoI am 21, going on 22 and I my (I think) soon-to-be girlfriend is 17, going on 18. What activities between us would get me into trouble?
I know we're allowed to "date", but with her being a minor until her next birthday and me being an adult, what kind of activities between the 2 of us would be considered "sexual," and therefore punishable for me?
5 AnswersSingles & Dating2 months agoWhy do some people playfully talk to big cats like they’re housecats?
Sure, they may look and act like giant versions of our cute and cuddly feline friends, but playing with them the same way as playing with a domestic cat could have much more serious consequences.
1 AnswerCats3 months agoAnyone else think Snapchat is kind of, well...gross?
I mean, the goofy faces and constant use of feces emojis? I wasn’t on for the longest time, but the main reason I joined was because I’m a young single guy looking for the ladies.

5 AnswersWords & Wordplay3 months agoWhy do many people only adopt puppies/kittens rather than adult animals?
Most animals I've had have been adopted as adults. Some people say it's more special to raise them as babies though, especially if they're growing up alongside human children.
5 AnswersOther - Pets3 months agoWhy does my family give me a hard time for still listening to the radio ON A RADIO/CDs instead of one of those stupid “smart” speakers? ?
I have always, and will always, listen to music in that way. I can’t stand those god damn Alexa/Echo smart speakers! They’re so annoying. My family tells me it’s not good that I’m “so behind the times,” and that it makes me seem “uncool.” I mean, come on! It’s not like I’m listening to cassette tapes!
3 AnswersOther - Electronics3 months agoWhy was George considered the most “Irish” Beatle even though Paul has the most Irish last name?
With all 4 of the Beatles being from Liverpool - which is know as the most Irish city in England — Ringo is said to be the most “English” Beatle, and George the most “Irish”, even though McCartney is the most Irish name out of the 4 of them. I’d think Paul was the most “Irish” of them.
3 AnswersLiverpool3 months agoWhy are the terms "Mr" and Mrs" ____ usually referred to the matriarch and patriarch of a family, even when they have sons who are married?
Like, everyone calls my grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Wood, but not my dad and uncles and their wives. Is it because my grandparents are the oldest?
6 AnswersMarriage & Divorce3 months agoHow to ask a longtime female friend to be a “friend with benefits”?
I’m not interested in being in a relationship with her, but after finding out more about what a friend with benefits is, I’d be interested in talking to her about that.
Singles & Dating4 months agoI'm a firm believer in holiday decorations coming down either on or just after New Years Day. Why do many keep them up longer into January?
After awhile it just seems like a bit much to me. In my opinion, the absolute deadline should be January 6 (the 12th day of Christmas).
