There is a point in life when you start to realize that your parents were right about a lot of things. Don't run with scissors. Don't lie. Don't yell in the house. Stop hitting your brother. All good advice. I am a former Air Force officer. My Air Force specialty was missile (ICBM) and munitions maintenance. I have experience maintaining not only ICBMs themselves, but also the conventional and nuclear munitions associated with them. I have two bachelor's degrees in Literature and History, and an MS in Logistics Management. I currently work in Operations Management for a Fortune 500 company in Texas.

  • Has anyone purchased a guitar from www.thecheapestguitar.com?

Did you have a good experience? Would you recommend them?

I've read they are in Korea, but their website doesn't say, so I don't know if it's true or not. Obviously, you usually get what you pay for, but I honestly don't fully understand what they're even selling. It looks like they make the guitars in their shop, but all the pictures have name brands on the head-stocks (Gibson, Fender, Rickenbacker, etc.). I'm in the market for a good Les Paul knock-off. I've been looking at the ESP LTD EC series and the Edwards guitars (I like the action on the LTD guitars, and they do have some with thicker bodies and passive pickups).

Just wondering what kind of experience folks have had with this company and if they got a good product.

  • Why is the global warming movement unwilling to admit there is no problem?

Emotion aside ... let's not debate how we feel about the climate, only the facts of the research that have been done.

80 years of climate study has resulted in only one dominant predictor of global heating and cooling ... solar activity. Carbon Dioxide accounts for less than 0.05% of the air-born gases on this planet, and human produced CO2 accounts for only 5 - 10% of that. This movement is about a war against industry and progress, not climate change. Climate change has been happening for millions of years, and the planet was hotter than it is now when it had the most life on it (think pre-historic time). The solar activity observed until last year was at a 500 year peak (and it was hotter), but for the last year has been extremely low.

What happens when the earth starts to cool again? Will we blame that on global warming also?

  • Can anyone recommend a good video card for my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop?

The card that Dell sells (ATI Radeon Mobility X300) is junk and way overpriced, but I can't seem to find another card that will work with my laptop. Suggestions?

  • Why are you spending so much time on Yahoo?

Not an accusation or slight at anyone, but I see people with thousands of points and hundreds of answered questions. If there are folks out there addicted to the Internet, how is a forum like this helping the problem?
