1 AnswerChemistry7 years agoIntegration quesrion?
∫(dx)/×sqrt(6-x^2)
I hope I wrote this clearly. Essentially inergate 1 over x times the square root of 6 minus x squared.
trig sub? Were x=(sqrt6)sinθ and dx=(sqrt6)cosθ? I come up with something weird I can't figure out. Did I sub wrong?
1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoIntegration question?
∫5sin^2(2x)
I think I use 1/2(1-cos2x) to sub for sin^2. Im thrown by the 5 in front and 2x though.
4 AnswersMathematics7 years agoIntegration question?
∫lnx/x^2
Do I start with by parts u= ln x and dv= x^-2??
2 AnswersMathematics7 years agoIntegration question?
Integrate:
∫((lnx)^2)/2
Some explination not just an answer would be apreciated :)

1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoIs it possible to have a vertical and horizontal tangent at the same place?
So I was given this parametric equation:
x=t^2-1
y=t^4-4t^2
V.T.
dx/dt= 2t
2t=0
t=0
So there is a vert. tan. at (-1, 0)
H.T.
dy/dt= 4t^3-8t
4t^3-8t=0
4t(t^2-2)=0
T=0,(+ or-)sqrt3
So I think made a mistake but cant figure out where. I have a vertical tangent and horizontal tangent at t=0
1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoWhat is the area of enclosed region?
Y=x^3
y=1
X=0
Rotated about x axis
I have
π∫1^2-(x^3)^2 from 0 to 1. Is that right so far?
What if it is rotated about y=-1?
Thanks!
1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoIntegration question?
Integrate:
(1+e^-x)/(e^-x+x)
Looking for some explanation. Thanks!
1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoWhat is the area of a circle with a diameter of 2.41 inches in feet?
I know the area of a circle is pi times the radius times radius. The problem im having is when to convert to feet. When I convert to feet before using the area formula I get a diffrent answer then when I convert after. Which one is correct? What am I missing here. Thanks.

A near sighted person has a far point that is 4.2 m from his eyes. What focal length lenses in diopters must he use in his contacts to allow him to focus on distant objects?
1 AnswerPhysics8 years agoCan you answer a physics question about a telescope/eyepieces?
The focal length of an objective of a telescope is 0.2 m and the eye piece has a focal length of 1.6 m. What is the length of this telescope?

1 AnswerVideo & Online Games8 years agoRaction and rate law?
The mechnism for the aqueous reaction between hydrogen peroxide and iodide in a acid solution is giben as follows:
H^(+) + I^(-) --> HI (fast)
H2O2+ HI --> H2O2 +HOI (slow)
HOI+ H^(+) + I^(-) --> H2O + I2 (fast)
I ^(-) + I2 --> I3^(-)
A. What is the overall reaction?
B. Write the rate law for this reaction.
1 AnswerChemistry8 years agoOrder of a reaction and rate?
The rate of the reaction 2HgCl2+ C2O4^(-2)---> 2Cl^ (-) +2CO2+ Hg2Cl2 is followed by measuring the number of moles of Hg2Cl2 that precipitate per liter per min.
Exp HgCl2 C2O4 ^(-2) initial rate (mol/L-min)
1 0.104 0.15 1.8x10^-5
2 0.104 0.30 7.2x10^-5
3 0.052 0.30 3.6x10^-5
4 0.052 0.15 9.0x10^-6
A. Determine the overall rate of the reaction.
B. What is the value of the rate constant k?
C. What would the initial rate of reaction if [HgCl2]= 0.44 M and [C2O4^-2]= 0.024 M?
1 AnswerChemistry8 years agoReaction rates of a first order raction?
Regarding the first order reaction 2A--> 3B +C are the following true or false?
A. The rate of the reaction will tripple if the concentration of b is trippled?
B. The time required for one half the substance a to react is independent of the quantity of A.
C. A plot of 1/[A] vs time yeilds a straight line.
D. The rate of formation of C is one-third the rate of formation B.
