How can they be the words of God if it was revised over the course of the years by Man to fit your views and beliefs?

Why is it that the same veil worn by catholic nuns for God is despised and presented as a symbol of subjection and domination when it is worn by Muslim women for the intention to protect themselves and devoting themselves to God?

It's funny that the Islamic Hijab was also practiced by Judeo-Christian women centuries earlier, and yet is laughed at by the West today

& yes I know that nuns are "married" to the church but do you really have to be "married" do that church to show you love for God?

You may also say that Muslim women are forced & have no rights. But here's what I have to say about that...

Muslim women are victims of cultural delusions that have no place in Islam. Many powerful individuals and groups claim to be Muslim yet fail to practice the true teachings of Islam. Whenever the media broadcasts immoral stories about honor killings, genital mutilation, forced marriage, the punishment of rape victims, women being confined to their homes or women being denied education, they are revealing a story of men and women who are ignorant about the true status of women in Islam.

Islam disapproves any form of oppression towards women. Women must be treated with respect, honor and justice. It is true that some Muslim women are oppressed… however, it is not correct to say that Islam oppresses women. If women were given their God given rights, as set out in the religion of Islam, the global oppression of women could be trampled into oblivion.

I am NOT trying to start arguments here.. I would just like to understand why people love to harass Muslim women for wearing the Hijab. I don't understand why people can't open a book & learn the truth instead of coming up with there own ignorant ideas.

I ordered a couple things off of amazon last week and its scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday, July 6th by the end of the day... The only problem is I'm leaving for Canada on that same day at about 4 A.M and won't be back for about 2 weeks... If I go to the UPS shipping center, which is literally 2 minutes away from where I live, on Tuesday, July 5th will they give me my package?

My boyfriend of 7 months broke up with me because he said he needs to change himself & straighten out his life. I'm not Christian but i would like to know. I have a lot of Christian friends & none of them have ever read the Bible. Are they supposed too ? Like in Islam we all have to start reading the Quran when we are at least 6-7 years old ( well most people do anyways). It's mandatory in Islam to read the Quran, is it the same way for the Bible in Christianity ?

I honestly don't get it. It annoys me so much. Nun's wear a head scarf & people don't say sh*t to them but if a Muslim women does she is question about it & in some cases is told to take it off. For example: My aunt was at about to go to Pakistan & they wouldn't let her get on the plane until she took it off. The most f*cked up thing EVER!

This is my second time asking this question & this time can you please answer if your going to answer the damn question & NOT make rude comments.

My cousin lives in California & she has 2 daughters. One is 2 years old and the other is about 3 months. One day she was in the kitchen cooking & cleaning when she she heard her youngest daughter cry. She went to go get her & tried to calm her down but she wouldn't stop crying. So she called an ambulance & took her daughter to the hospital. The doctor did some tests & he told her that it seemed as if someone squeezed the babies arm & broke it. At the time my cousin was in the kitchen her oldest daughter was with the baby & she told the doctor that but he made it a police case. They took her youngest daughter away from her & later on took her oldest daughter. Since that happend its been one year & they took this to court & they still won't give her kids back to her because they say she is careless. The father asked if he can take the kids if his wife isn't allowed & the judge told him only if he divorces his wife. My cousin did absolutely nothing wrong. The baby was sleeping so thats why she left her alone in the bedroom so she could sleep & she didn't know that this would happen. Oh & this is a Muslim family. The father tried to get the court to allow only a Muslim family to adopt the kids if they can't keep them but they said know. My cousin is going crazy & she wants her kids back more than ANYTHING in the world. Do you think this would have happend if the family was a white Christian family ? Do you think they are discriminating against Muslim's ? Do you think that what happend to my cousin is right ?

My hairdresser told me that i should put henna in my hair to give it some shine but my mom told me that it will make my hair a reddish color & later turn it white. Is that true ? I have very dark brown hair that can pass as black. If i use henna what color will my hair turn ?
