I'm currently signed up for advanced courses next year. At my school they're pretty much the same material as the IB courses that are offered. I did pre-IB this year and had no problem. I would do IB since I want to get into a good university but I don't think I'd have the time with all the sports I do. I play hockey, soccer, basketball, two ski teams, two lacrosse teams and badminton so I don't have any time throughout the week to spend hours on homework since I normally only have an hour that I'm not doing anything and I'm at home each night. Also weekends aren't good because I'm up at 5am to go to the hill and am not home until after 8 because of lacrosse/hockey. Does the IB programme really benefit you on getting in to university? Could I do the IB programme since I'm doing fine with pre-IB? Is there too much homework? Would I still be able to go to an ok university with a average around 90% in advanced courses? Thanks
