3 mls of blood was drawn into a red top serum vacutainer without additive. However, on spinning the sample, the serum was red. What could have caused this. I know that hemolysis has taken place. However, why?

What can be done to clear the RBC's from the serum? RBC lysis buffer?

I have seen this attached to several church names. Is this body of Christ part of the Church of God in Christ International or Church of God in Christ (Memphis). Is so, can you tell me exactly what "Institutional" means in the name and where that falls in the history? I just need clarification. Thanks in advance

If so, which category do we choose for the child? We were thinking that we shouldn't choose 'son' or 'daughter' because we are non-relatives. Also we didn't think that we should choose 'adopted child' because she's not adopted. We do have legal guardianship through court order, though. Should we choose 'foster child'. Technically she is not a foster child because, again, we have legal guardianship. We just want to be safe in choosing the right category. Thanks so much!
