I have read the airlines websites - but what I want to know if CAN I take shipping box as a piece of luggage?

The dimensions are fine 18x18x18 and the weight is fine... but is there any problem using a box? (ups box)

Yeah I know it sounds "strange" but I dont need to buy more suit cases - I already have 4 and a box is cheap and i can just throw it away/recycle it.

I am going to be moving to Seattle in a month or so and I would like to find an apt. One that would be a good location for taking public transportation (as I wont have a car at first), good for kids and near some grocery stores.

How is it legal for someone take a photo of someone else and use it to make money by printing it in a newspaper or magazine with out my permission?

There has got to be some laws against this.

Don't we inherently own the rights to our image - since it is unique?

Do we need to copy write our faces to protect our self?

If a politician were say any of the following, would it be racist - even though it was true? (now for the Race I will just use Race A, Race B etc...)

Lets say we have govt statistics about things.

Senator X says "We need to change the education system in this country! Too many people are dropping out which leads to high crime rates, unemployment and it is a drain on the welfare system. We need to find out why Race A has the highest dropout rate of any group. Twice that of the next closest group."

Senator Y "We need to rework the unemployment / welfare systems to encourage people to get back on their own feet and go to work! - Race B has the highest % level of unemployment and welfare usage."

Senator Z "We need to limit who is allowed into this country. People from Race/Group C coming into this country have the lowest level of education and one of the highest crime rates"

I tried to use some tame examples - but is it racist if it is true?

Meaning : that people are always shortcutting things, coming up with excuses for being late, doing bad work, not getting things done. Or People breaking the laws... parking in the fire zones, handicapped spots, driving like crap.... stealing.. killing whatever.

Another example: How many of you have gone to a doctor's appointment (lets say 10:00am) and had to wait 30 - 60 mins! Why? They give you no reason for being late - and if they have one - it is still an excuse. And you sit there and take it... why?

It seems that people find it easier to turn a blind eye than to call them on it.

I need some websites showing statistics on crime rates. With a breakdown for states and within those states by crime & race.

I went to my local grocery store and on the way in I a noticed car parked out in front - like everyone has seen... right in front of the doors - in A FIRE ZONE. I walked up to it (never touched it) & the girl rolled down her window. I said " excuse me... but you are in a fire zone, it is illegal to park here" and the girl (17-18 - white) just said "ok" and looked down. A black woman (30-40) which I never saw in the car just went off. and said "are you a cop?" I said "no"...then she said "well then F*** You... it is none of your GD business where I park you ******!"

Then I just said... "well I am not a cop, but I will be happy to go find one" then I went in side.... found some paper & a pen and came back out and wrote down her plate number.

By this time the person they were waiting for was getting in the car - and the woman just just started calling me names - I just said .."What? I am not the one breaking the law" and walk in the store.

What the hell is wrong with people?
