  • 2005 honda accord wont start after engine wash?

its a 2005 V6 Honda accord. So I sprayed down the top of the engine w simple green then hosed it down w a reg garden hose. I had covered the alternator, battery, and fuse box w plastic bags for this part. I started the car and moved it and worked fine. Then decided to wash the underside of the engine too. I lifted it on jacks and stand for this part and admit I got carried away w the hose down process under the engine. Sprayed it first w same simple green then hosed it down heavily w water. Thought it would b safe to do so since this part of the car comes in contact w water more and meant to withstand it I thought. Some of the water probably did traveled up the engine from my heavy hosing, and I had already removed the plastic bags for this part, but doubt it reached these parts, maybe just a chance of reaching the alternator if at all. Let it dry for an hour for this part, then tried to start but it just cranks now, and weakly. The lights so come on w the key on, including all the indicator lights like check engine light, but tht one goes away I think, and all others stay on though, but I think this is how it normally is supposed to b and was b4.just can't remember. w the key turned on, the stereo also reads "code" on the display now, which was not the case b4. Although lights come on, power is fainter and low bc windows go up slower and when I lock the car w my remote key the normal loud honk now sounds low. I don't have the tools to test for spark or the know how of a mechanic, but I can research and follow direction to take small stuff apart. Just curious what it can b. Goin to let it sit overnight and hopefully whatever is causing the problem will dry out, but I doubt it. Was working great b4 engine wash and did tune up 1 week ago and was working great. So those spark plugs r still new. Hope I can get some quick responses. Thx guys!
