  • What do I need to get my baby a Portuguese passport in London?

My husband is a Portuguese citizen and I am South African. We were married in South Africa but now live in London. Our son will be born in London but will not be eligible for a British passport as we are not yet permanent residents.

Could anyone assist with what documentation we would need to get our son a Portuguese passport from London?

As I understand you need to go to the Portuguese Consulate to apply but I want to make sure that we have everything we need when we get there.

Also, has anyone had experience with this? How long does a passport for baby take?

  • In COD Modern Warfare 2 what happens to your kills on your weapons when you enter prestige mode?

I am considering entering Prestige mode in COD: Modern Warfare 2. I understand that all challenges, weapon unlocks, etc reset back to level 1 but what I want to know is, if you got 100 kills with a weapon before prestiging, does the kill count per weapon reset as well? Or is this carried over?

Can anyone who has Prestiged help me?

  • Should I learn to ski or snowboard?

I am learning to ski this winter and was wondering whether it would be better to learn to ski or snowboard? I have never tried either but I would love to learn to snowboard. I'm just worried it might be too tough. Any advice?

  • Pubic hair in pregnancy (TMI warning)?

This is probably going to sound a little gross but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this. I am 19 weeks and have noticed that, since my last brazillian, my hair has grown back like it's on steroids. It's been only 2 weeks and I already need another wax and I usually only need to go after 5 or 6 weeks.

Anyone else had this experience? I just want to know if it's normal or if I'm going crazy.

I know that hair growth can increase during pregnancy but I haven't noticed this on my legs or underarms or anywhere else.

  • Earning extra money from home (part time)?

I am looking for a way to earn a little extra money from home.

I know there are a lot of "get rich quick" schemes which is not at all what I'm after, I just want something to supplement my income so I can have more money to spend on fun things.

I am based in the UK (London). Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I have looked at online data capturing and other options but they all seem to be scams.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Newborn sleeping arrangements?

In anticipation of baby's arrival, I am doing some investigation on sleeping arrangements for my baby on arrival so that I can budget and prepare a space.

Obviously there will be a nursery but baby will be sleeping in the room with my husband and I in the beginning (but no co-sleeping).

    I have the following questions:

    1. What did your baby sleep in for the first few months? I know there are moses baskets and cribs but have also looked into baby hammocks and am quite keen on this. Does anyone have experience using a baby hammock? How long could you use it before your baby grew out of it? Did your baby sleep in a proper cot straight away or at what age did they start sleeping in their cot?

    2. If you lived in a multi-level house, did you have a crib or something similar on more than one level so you could always be close to baby when he/she was sleeping? Our bedrooms are on the top floor but our living area is on the first floor and I really don't want to have to drag something up and down the stairs every day. Or did you just let baby sleep in his/her room during the day when you were at home?

    3. What bed did you put in your nursery? I'm not sure whether we should buy a cot bed straight away or just use a crib/moses basket/hammock and have baby sleep with us until it's time to use the cot. I'm keen on getting the baby used to the cot in the day and just having him/her sleep with us in the night for ease of reach.

I would appreciate your stories and experiences cos I'm a first time mommy and my mom is miles away so I'm feeling a little lost!!!

Sorry that there are so many questions.

    Thanks

  • Anyone have experience using Bugaboo?

I am thinking of getting a Bugaboo pram for baby and would like to know who has used these prams and your experiences?

I know that there is the Chameleon, Gecko and Bee and I know they're all a little different. Which one do you use and what would you say you like and dislike about them?

Also, what accessories do you have and are they worth it? What could you live without/not live without?

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Help with round ligament pain?

I'm nearly 18 weeks and I was wondering about everyone's experience with round ligament pains. I get this dull ache down the right of my abdomen from about 10am every day which only goes away later at night. It's not too painful, it's more annoying almost like a cramp if you run after eating but less severe.

Any advice? Stories? How is your round ligament pain? Do you even have any?

  • Tightness when sitting?

Still no appearance of my elusive baby bump but I remain hopeful I'll start showing soon.

At the moment, I am definitely feeling that my pants are slightly tighter when I stand up but they are a lot tighter when I sit down almost to the point where I have to undo my top button to not have them cutting into the skin.

I'm 16 and 1/2 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Questions about my baby bump?

I'm just over 16 weeks (yay) and have a few questions about my baby bump ... at the moment, I'm not showing a proper bump, just a little pooch but I feel massive. How should my pooch feel? Also, I keep trying to feel my growing uterus but I just dont' know what it's supposed to feel like. I know my baby is still small but surely I must be able to feel something? I also get extremely bloated after eating and look like I'm nearly 6 months pregnant. Did this happen to anyone else?

I'm so excited about my little one but also nervous cos it's my first and I feel like I should be feeling more of my baby by now.

Your experiences or thoughts are greatly appreciated!!

  • Does anyone have a contact number for the Football Ticket Shop?

I bought tickets for a Premier League game this weekend and still haven't received them.

    See the website: www.footballticketshop.com.

Has anyone used these people before? I have tried emailing them to ask when the tickets will be delivered but get no response. I am now looking for a contact number but the website doesn't have one.

    Please help.

  • In sims 2, how do I get my kid back after social services took him?

No judgement, he wouldn't do his homework and I'm a bad parent, I get it but I really want him back. I have tried having a new baby and then calling adoption, I've increased my funds and still nothing. Short of moving someone else in and then adopting him back, is there any other way? My family just isn't complete without him!

  • How do I tell my husband I'm pregnant?

Long story short, my husband and I are on a different page about babies. I think we're ready to have one now and he thinks we should wait a year or two.

We finally (after tons of discussions and mini-arguments) decided to wait a year. Now I'm pregnant (even though I'm on the pill and haven't missed a single one or been late taking one for over a year).

Any creative ideas on how I can tell him we're gonna have a baby? (keeping in mind he might be a little shocked ... like I am!)

  • Where should I live in London with 3 "large" dogs?

We will be moving to the UK in the next few months and our 3 dogs (2 huskies and a lab) will be going into quarantine for 6 months.

We'll be base in London, where is a good area to live with our dogs that has some nice parks and areas to take them for walks?

  • Quarantine of dogs?

I will be moving to the UK from South Africa with my 3 dogs and I know that there is a requirement for dogs to be quarantined for 6 months.

Has anyone had experience with this? Could you suggest facilities I should look into? How are dogs affected after quarantine?
