I remember when Expo 86 came to Vancouver they up graded a lot of low grade Motels and Hotels that used to house very low income people, who were evicted and displaced because once they where asked to leave their homes they were rented out to people from out of town at an inflated rate. The people you ask, what happened to them? Those who couldn't afford the prices or were undesirable where now homeless.

So with the 2012 Olympics what was there before the buildings started going up? Were there homes there before?

Were there low income communities torn down? What happened to these people that where displaced? Were homes built for them to compensate for their home being taken from them?

I recently adopted a male feral kitten from the SPCA he is a tabby. Very cute and spunky. We also have a one year old Siamese cat named "Bandit" Bandit is twice the size as the kitten but the kitten can beat him up and make him cry out... the kitten has never cried in pain when they play. Hello here is the situation, My husband and I have loaned a large sum of money for a down payment on a home they are purchasing to friends of ours. Now they alread own an apartment that they have yet to sell. Once the old home sells they will pay us back in full so the loan is a guaranteed to be payed back in full. We drew up a document stating that if one or both should happen to die before the sale of their home that their estate will make good on the loan after the said home is sold. Now the question is this...In Canada when there are 4 parties signing do all witnesses and patries have to be present during the singing of the document to be valid if it should be disputed in court in the event the payee's die before the money is paid back.

Can you give me the laws on signing documents where money is owed and the persons have died before the money was paid back.

Ok first of all I have a Western Digital internal hard drive (80GB) and I have it hooked into my Mac Book using an external standard USB, with IDE connection (AcomData) case. So I started out with the MAC OS Extended (journaled) Volume Format. So now I want to get my PC with Win XP to see it. I understand that the MAC OS is not compatible but what I want to do is for mat the drive again to us with the PC. The thing is I can't see it when it is connected to the PC and When I formatted it to the MS-DOS (FAT) on the Mac Book the PC still will not see it plugged in.

What I want to do is be able to connect to me PC using the correct format for PC which would be the NTFS Format. Problem is that the PC will not recognize the USB device because it is MAC formatted. So I have to go from the Mac Book fix the format and have it play nice with the PC.

I have a MAC book that I killed with a DVD-RW drive in it....I am getting a new MAC that does not have a DVD-RW just a DVD ROM so I want to take the old drive out of the old MAC and put it into the new one....question is will it forfit the new MAC's warrenty?

Question Details: Story: I work in retail with those stupid security sensors at the door going off every time a cashier doesn't deactivate a tag. I joke around a lot with customers and all take my jokes and are quick to join in, and I have said this before to other people all race and ages and sexes.

Any ways I am a NON racist irish girl from canada ( I am truly not racist so don't even go there) So the story is a guy leaves the store and the sensor goes off because the cashier didn't deactivate the little tag...so thinking nothing of it and trying to make light of a potentially embaracing situation I say ( Trying to sneak out on us I see) Well OMG this guy goes balistic scrambles for his wallet and said that what I was joking about was no joke and totaly unprofessial of me. So why was he so pissed when other weren't when I have said this before?

I read a book about a Roman Legion being abducted by an alien space ship to fight in a Galactic war. The alien was allowed to chose any race on any planet in the universe as their champion. This one group of Roman soldiers didn't know at first that they where abducted. When they would fight if they died they where resurrected to fight again, and again and again. The only time they could not return was when the brain or spinal cord was damaged. Anyways they take over the ship and make the aliens take them back to earth only to find that 2000 years have passed. The question has anyone read this book??
