In acute-angled triangle ABC, prove that [CosA/CosB]² + [CosB/CosC]² +[CosC/CosA]² + 8 CosA CosB CosC ≥ 4.

This was originally asked by Annie G without the condition of the triangle being acute-angled and gianlino had shown that the inequality does not hold for all triangles giving an example taking angles of the triangle as 30°, 30° and 120°. He informed me that the inequality is indeed true with the condition that the triangle is acute-angled, but I do not know the proof.

Do I need to get fingerprinting appointment from OFC prior to the interview date?

I am unable to find any website giving such date for immigrants though it is available for non-immigration visa applicants.

2) You gave a good, correct answer to a challenging question and some other answerer's incorrect answer gets selected as BA.

who ask the question, do not give any feed-back or select BA and never return to ask again? They are not appreciative of the help they get by the answerers of this forum. This does not seem to be the case in many other sections like religion and culture or sports.

I rarely participate in voting as it is more time-consuming to get just one point. But recently I found a drawback of this system and realized how some participants amass thousands of points in a week. They go for voting oldest answers which are in large numbers and vote blindly without thinking. In the process, it is possible that even an incorrect answer may be voted.

MY SUGGESTION to ensure that the correct answer gets voted is to give 3 points for voting provided the voted answer gets selected as BA and no point if the voted answer is not selected as BA.

I make errors in answering despite utmost care. Some of my contacts help me correct my mistakes by drawing my attention. But sometimes my incorrect answer gets selected as BA even by the asker even before I come to know about the error and correct the same. See the following links:

It also so happens that an incorrect answer gets selected ignoring my correct answer. This affects the credibility of the answers selected as BA in this forum. Why can't Yahoo Answers team consider

1) allowing the answerer whose answer is selected as BA incorrectly to delete the same once he becomes aware of it?

2) allow participants to report the same so that it can be deleted by Yahoo Answers team?

1) Making network private should be disallowed.

2) Same Yahoo i.d. by different members should be disallowed.

3) YA intramail of all users should be open for ease of communication.

4) Comments posted after the answer is closed should open with the question so that they are read.

5) Comments on answers of the answerers by other answerers should be posted in the same window as that of the original answerer so that they are noticed early and responded.

6) Additional details should be allowed only to clarify the question and not ask new questions and should be allowed to be used only twice so that it is not misused for chatting.

7) To encourage new entrants, top 10 ranks should be given yearwise. Instead of weekly statistics, current year running statistics starting from January 1 of the current year should be given so that answerers compete for top ranks to be reported at the end of the year. Present top 10 rankers who have been participating since several years cannot be competed by new entrants.

8) Yahoo Answers can appoint subject experts who can select truly good answers and publish a compedium of good answers yearwise. This too will encourage a large number of good answerers who may not be in top ranks. In math category where I largely participate, I find many good participants do not go for scores and answer challenging questions and their contribution is indeed praiseworthy.

An ordinary citizen having no political post makes one loose statement about the Parliamentarians which becomes a major national issue for our Parliamentarians, but not the serious incidents of sex racket in Delhi reported on the same day involving less than 14 year old girls, large number of incidents of corruption and black money, killing of an IPS officer by Mafias. Lives of we, Indians, are cheaper in the eyes of our Parliamentarians as compared to a petty loose statement about their character. If they are so confident of their contribution as Mr. Sharad Yadav reported with such an anguish in the Parliament, why should they be perturbed. If they are good as they claim, they are good and an ordinary citizen's comment should not dislodge them from their duties towards the citizens of India. They are wasting time of the Parliament in discussing petty issues concerning them and not concentrating on major national issues which are becoming serious day by day. Day in and day out we keep watching news of crimes, corruption, murders, rapes, inflation and not a single report of any serious action by the government. Parliamentarians have no time to take up these serious matters, but they keep fighting on not so important matters. Why don't they dedicate themselves to the jobs for which we have elected them rather than wasting time in trying to tackle Anna's team. If they do their jobs properly, it will automatically diffuse Anna's agitation. But instead of doing that they are acting in manners only to further provoke public outrage against them further adding fuel to fire. Why are they failing to see the writing on the wall.
