  • Titleist 585H vs. Taylormade Rescue TP (2007)?

Has anyone tried the Titleist 585H and Taylormade Rescue TP (2007)? I am trying to decide on which one to get. I am looking for a 17º, 18º, or 19º hybrid to cover the gap between my 3+ wood and 22º hybrid. My choices are between the 585H (with a Aldila NV, Aldila Proto VS, or UST Proforce V2 shaft) or the 2007 Rescue TP (with Aldila Proto VS shaft).

I know both look good at address, so that's not an issue. I want to know about the ball flight characteristics. Do they fly high, or low? Penetrating, or floating/ballooning?

I think the 585H has a deeper face than the Rescue TP...any thoughts on that?

A comparison between the two clubs would be great. Please share the specs of the clubs you tried and/or own. Thanks for you time!

  • Apple Airport Express vs. Alternative Router?

I have a MacBook Pro, and am looking to set up wireless internet in my house. I have a modem, so all I need is a router. I am looking at the Apple Airport Express router (trying to keep it in the Apple family). Does anyone have this? How well does it work? What is the range and signal strength like? I'm not looking to network with different computers, my MacBook Pro is the only computer in the house.

Is there a router on the market that performs better than the Airport Express? I like the fact that Airport Express has a USB port so I can charge my iPod...but that's a minor detail, one that I could live without. Any recommendations on a wireless router that costs around $100?

  • "Solver" for MacBook Pro with Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac?

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro, and I have Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac installed on it. I have read reviews on Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, and the main criticism is the lack of the "Solver" program in Excel.

I am currently a high school student, looking to go into a top-notch Commerce program for post-secondary education. I was wondering if I will need to use "Solver" in the future. If I do, I could download it...I found this website offering the download:

    http://www.solver.com/mac/dwnmacsolver.htm

Is this website legitimate? And do you think I will need to use "Solver" in the future? I don't really know anything about the program at the moment, but a lot of reviews have criticized the lack of the "Solver" program in Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.

P.S. Could you check out my other question about CPU temperatures?

  • Max CPU temperature for MacBook Pro?

I just got a new MacBook Pro 13" with a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I was wondering what the normal and maximum CPU temperatures are for this processor. I have a monitoring widget, and my CPU usually runs at about 51*C, or 131*F. Is this normal? I don't want to destroy my processor on a $1200 computer.

Also, it would be helpful to know the normal and maximum temperatures for things like HD Macintosh..., Enclosure Base, Enclosure Base 2, Enclosure Base 3, Enclosure Base 4, Heatsink B, and Northbridge. I am more interested in the CPU temperatures, but the others would be extremely helpful.

P.S. Temperatures in Celsius would be preferred.

  • How many shots of Vodka is equal to one Beer?

I was just wondering what the equivalent to one shot of vodka is in beer. For example, "2 shots of vodka is roughly the same as one beer". That's probably not what it is...but I want to know what it actually is.

  • Scotty Cameron Button Back Putter?

Does anyone know where I can find/buy a Scotty Cameron Newport Button Back putter? It's basically a 2009 Studio Style Newport putter, but has a Terylium insert in the face and "buttons" in the cherry bombs to hold the insert in place.

  • Driver Shot Shape? Only Better Players please answer?

I'm 15 years old and a 8 handicap. I'm wondering about what shot shape with the driver will help me most. Last year I played a draw/straight shot with the driver. The problem is that when I don't have my A-game I tend to lose it hard left, with hooks and pull-hooks. I've been considering working with my coach to create a power fade off the tee. I know Tiger switched to hitting power fades with Hank Haney and his driving improved a lot. I'd like to know what kind of shot you play off the tee, and if you think it would be a good idea to work on a power fade. I'm willing to get worse to get better, it's still early in the season.

My iron game is a strong part of my game, and I usually hit it straight or with a draw. I kind of have the same problem sometimes though, losing it left.

If you could tell me your handicap, that would be great. !

  • Baseline Inbounding Question?

    OK, here's the situation:

Your team just scored a basket in the last minute of a tight game. Your team is applying full-court pressure, denying the inbound pass. (Remember that the inbounder can run the full length of the baseline) If the inbounder with the ball cannot make a clean pass, can he pass to a teammate on the floor who just ran out of bounds, but he was fully out of bounds before he caught the ball? The player who caught the ball out of bounds then proceeds to inbound the ball. Is this allowed?

If this is allowed, then does his 5 second inbound time restart?

I saw this happen near the end of the Cal vs. UCLA game. Cal had to inbound, and they did just what I described above.

  • WTF!!!!! No All-Star pick for Jose Calderon?

WTF!!! How could Jose Calderon be left off the East All-Star team? Is this God's answer to my question about Calderon being a MVP candidate? Jose Calderon's numbers are way better than Jason Kidd's number, and Kidd is a starter! Also, how can New Jersey have two All-Stars (Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson) when they are having an absolutely horrible season? Why is this happening to me?!?!?!?!?

  • Jose Calderon for MVP?

Does anyone else think that Jose Calderon of the Toronto Raptors should be the MVP? I know it's early, but his stats are crazy. He should be the starting point guard for the Eastern Confrence All-Star team. His stats are better than Jason Kidd's, and he is a more explosive player than Jason Kidd has ever been. He also has great character and a passion for the game. What do you think? Your opinion please!

  • Hitting Help?!?

I'm 14, playing on my high school volleyball team. I play setter and right-side hitter. I'd consider myself a pretty decent hitter, but I'm looking to take it to the next level. When I hit sometimes I have trouble hitting the ball down with force. I can hit down but not very hard. Sometimes I time my approach wrong and hit the ball with my fingers. I want help to improve my accuracy, consistency and power. I'm about 5'7'' and my vertical with my approach is around 23 inches.

  • How do I put spin on my overhand serve?

I can serve it pretty hard straight, but I want to know how to put spin on the ball and move the ball from right to left or left to right. I normally serve it with very little spin in any direction.
