Mr.

I made a friend on the internet because he seemed like a good clever person and a good guy. We also had a common interest so conversations were never boring. We got along nicely for about a year. Then suddenly, a simple harmless remark I jokingly said made him so angry that he blocked me everywhere. I did not even know why he disappeared or whether he simply found another "better replacement". Since he stays in a different country, far away from me, I cannot even go to him to ask him what went wrong or to clarify things. I feel bad that maybe I hurt him and I even apologized but he shut out all ways to contact him and hasn't returned yet. So my question is why do some people find it so hard to let go and forgive and forget? Why do they like to hold on to grudges forever?
