1 AnswerGeography1 decade agoShould I note my membership of MENSA on my CV?
I am currently writing my CV in preparation for applying for ACA accountancy training positions in London next year. I am not sure whether to include my MENSA membership. On one hand, I feel it may make my CV stand out from a competitive crowd of applicants. On the other hand, I'm not totally sure how relevant it is, or whether it would get up the nose of interviewers (who may view me as elitist).
Any thoughts or suggestions? I understand that British CV writing norms differ from those in America, so British perspectives would be particularly welcome. Even better would be an answer from someone who has successfully applied for a similar job. Thanks!
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoWhat is your favourite book, or author?
Please don't give answers such as Hary Potter, Lord of the Rings, Catcher in The Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, War and Peace etc etc etc.
All great books, but I'm looking for some recommendations I may not have read already!
I'm terrible at remembering books, but some recent favourites are 'Shantaram', 'A Fine Balance', 'The Remains of the Day'. I generally like books about people, rather than epic and unbelievable thrillers.
20 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoMy Pentax camara won't turn on, is there anything I can do?
When I try to turn my camara on, the power button flashes on but then quickly turns off again. The lens does not open, so effectively I can't turn on or use the camara. The problem occured very rapidly (ie, one moment it was working and then when I tried to turn it on again 5 minutes later, it was broken). Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anyway to fix this problem? I am in Thailand at the moment, and am very frustrated by not being able to take any pictures.
The camara is a Pentax Optio S5i.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

Is there a airport bus (similar to the service from the old airport), or shall I just cab it?
5 AnswersThailand1 decade agoDoes the rapidly strengthening Baht put you off travelling to Thailand?
Thailand's low cost of living is a major factor behind the rapid growth of its tourism industry. However, the Thai Baht is rapidly strengthening, making travel in Thailand more expensive than in previous years. Would this put you off visiting the country? Would it put you off if the Baht strenghthened to 30 to the dollar?
