I'm attending grad school at Columbia and currently apartment hunting. I've been to New York a couple times but never north of Columbia. Is 123rd and Amsterdam a decent area to live? I noticed its next to some public housing which makes me weary. I'm not expecting to live in ritzy neighborhood, but I don't want to be in the f'ing ghetto either. Thanks for the help NY locals!

I'm just starting java and "Hello World!" is the extent of my present capabilities. I'm using NetBeans IDE and their basic java skeleton. If I'm not mistaken, my os x 10.6.8 comes with JDK 6 installed. The line in my code is as follows:

File myFile = new File("/path/");

Question: When I try to use the File symbol (class?) above, I get an error saying...

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: Uncompilable source code - cannot find symbol

symbol: class File

Isn't this 'File' included in the basic library, like String or int? Thanks.

I want the apple logo cut out of my product to display the logo on the macbook housing (screen). Is this infringement? Can I credit Apple Inc next to my product picture to avoid problems? Thanks
